This set is ideal for 1971-76 GM CONVERTIBLES! SEAT BELT AUCTIONS : Cadillac seat belts were basically the same length as other GM divisions, but they were far superior. Cadillac belts were color coordinated to the interiors not boring stock colors like many GM models! And they did not use plastic covered buckle ends (that cracked and scuffed). Instead they still had the 1960's style chrome & brushed metal look. The logo was "GM" so these can be used to enhance the interior of any Chevrolet, Buick, Oldsmobile or Pontiac as well. There are a total of 6 pieces (3 sets) that you will receive. Two retractors (with male ends), 1 male (manual adjust) strap, and 3 female buckle straps. PRODUCTION DATE: MARCH of 1976. CONDITION: Let's admit it... Cadillac in the 1970's was still on a roll, and their interiors were brilliantly planned. Exquisite colors dominated, and the vibrant warm TAN / BUCKSKIN seat belts listed here are surely among the better colors of the era.

This decent set was removed from a 1976 Cadillac Fleetwood that had pretty low mileage on it (44K as I recall). I have stored these for many years..... They are definitely Survivor Show Grade quality.

The belt strap material is exceptionally clean and free of stains. Coloring is nice and even on each belt, very warm hue. They still have that factory shimmer look.

The belt material is very soft and very flexible. Production tags are all there -- those are the white tags sewn onto the belts. MY PICTURES CANNOT CAPTURE HOW NICE THESE BELTS ARE IN PERSON. The retractors both work great, strong pull to the mechanism. The plastic retractor housings are not faded or cracked, and look superb for being nearly 47 year old plastic parts. Regarding the chrome pieces on the straps -- All of them are in great condition - super shine, good emblems, very clean. The female buckles all work fine/properly as well.

So basically this set has Superb TAN/BUCKSKIN belt straps, perfectly working retractors, and fantastic chrome latches. Faint wear and tear at the most on this offering. Overall I grade the set at a strong 9.25-9.50 on a 10 scale.

That is about as good as you could ever hope to find! Set your expectations reasonably for lightly USED parts that are 45-50 YEARS OLD. SEAT BELT HISTORY AND USABILITY INFORMATION: GM/Cadillac seat belts changed a lot with the US safety requirement of the late 1960's & early 1970's. Generally speaking, the Cadillac belts that I sell will (likely) fit all large FULL SIZED GM cars made from 1971-76 (some models through 1978). This is based on the typical lengths of the belts and the locations for the bolting.

Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick and Oldsmobile models are listed in the compatibility section. The Cadillac colors are usually common to most other GM brands, though the Interior Color Names given by each division will vary. Cadillac seat belts are higher quality, no doubt! It's up to YOU to verify the usability in your car PRIOR to purchasing.
